The Twisting Operator operates up to 12 Twinning machines which twist two insulated conductors together used in the manufacturing of telephone and Datacom cables. This position monitors each machine to avoid malfunctions, and performs voltage testing and resistance unbalance testing on each bobbin to comply with electrical requirements. This position is responsible for unloading bobbins from a rack using a sorter and pre-staging them for the tandem stranding machines.
