Description
- Gather specific account and market intelligence through:
- Internet research - alerts, blogs, company websites, professional associations, Google search, etc.
- Social Media, and more.
- Phone, mail and email contact - direct contact with prospects.
- Utilize SalesForce to track account, contact, and campaign information.
- Execute various lead generation campaigns (via mail, email, phone, social media)
- Help identify key accounts and decision makers.
- Successfully hand off appropriate accounts to regional sales reps and account managers.
- Work with the Sales Marketing Advisor to continually create and improve lead generation campaigns and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in account development, sales, marketing or lead generation.
- Evidence of goal orientation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Experience with social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn.
- Exceptional listening and communication skills.
- Experience with a CRM is a plus.
- Ability to work with alone or as part of a team.
Work Environment:
General office. No special physical demands required.

Summary
The Account Development Specialist is responsible for gathering account and market intelligence in order to provide regional sales representatives and account managers with actionable information. You must have prior account development, sales, marketing or lead generation experience. You excel at finding new opportunities, internet and social media research, building relationships and have excellent listening and communication skills. You should be a self-starter, highly motivated, goal oriented, passionate and be able to work without supervision. Experience with a CRM is helpful but not required.
