About the Role



We are seeking a Senior Asphalt Plant Inspector to provide experienced oversight of asphalt plant operations on transportation projects, primarily throughout West-Central Florida. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, independent judgment, and a strong understanding of FDOT asphalt specifications. The Senior Inspector serves as a key liaison between plant personnel, project teams, and agency representatives. 



 



Key Responsibilities




  • Perform senior-level inspection of asphalt plant operations to ensure full compliance with FDOT and project specifications.

  • Oversee asphalt sampling, testing coordination, and documentation.

  • Review plant calibration records, production reports, and quality control documentation.

  • Identify nonconforming materials or processes and communicate issues promptly.

  • Mentor and support junior asphalt plant inspectors.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, agency representatives, plant personnel, field inspectors, and laboratory staff.

  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and assist with resolution of quality issues.

  • Uphold safety, quality, and ethical standards at all times.
