In this vital role, you will lead maintenance efforts, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and perform preventative maintenance to keep all equipment running at peak performance. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests, driving operational excellence through proactive service and leadership.ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced repairs on restaurant equipment including refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and kitchen appliances, including grills, fryers, ovens, coffee makers and ice cream machines.Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.Lead maintenance projects involving construction, installation, or upgrades of mechanical systems and equipment.Conduct regular inspections of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical components to prevent breakdowns.Troubleshoot complex electrical, plumbing, and mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.Help train junior technicians, providing guidance on repair procedures and safety protocols.Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.Qualifications and Certifications Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems—including air conditioning units—and refrigeration equipment.Strong mechanical skills with experience in construction or equipment installation projects.Leadership skills with the ability to work effectively while managing multiple tasks.Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance.Certifications in HVAC/R or refrigeration are mandatory; additional credentials in electrical or plumbing work are a plus.
