Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive medical care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for acute and chronic health concerns within a university health setting, while maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with institutional policies and professional standards. Collaborates with counseling, nursing, pharmacy, and health promotion teams to support integrated, holistic student wellbeing. Delivers preventive and wellness services including physical exams, immunizations, health screenings, and health education tailored to a diverse campus population. Participates in outreach initiatives, committee participation, protocol development, quality improvement activities, and the training or supervision of medical learners as appropriate.


 


Qualifications


Required Education and Experience: 
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution + completion of an accredited residency program in an appropriate specialty. Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state. Board certification or board eligibility required. DEA registration required as applicable for prescribing. Must meet all continuing medical education, credentialing, and privileging requirements to practice within a university or campus health system.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort


Environment: Work is performed in an interior medical/clinical environment.


Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.


Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.


Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
