    SUPERVISOR           Speech Pathologist
    POSTION GOAL 
    The Speech-Language Assistant will carry out the treatment of a student which has been designed by the Speech-Language Pathologist after the SLP has assessed the student, developed the treatment plan and initiated treatment
     
    QAULIFICATIONS
    Education                  Associates Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
    Certification               New Hampshire Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals
    Experience                 One to three years of work related experience preferred
    Criminal Record Check                    Required per NH RSA 189:13-a
    Pre Employment Physical               Required per NH RSA 200:23 and 275:3      
     
    EVATUATION
    Performance of position responsibilities will be evaluated annually in accordance with the approved administrative procedure for staff evaluations
    GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    1. Demonstrate aptitude and successful fulfillment of assigned performance
    2. Specialized training with individuals with special needs
    3. Such alternate to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Work alongside and assist the Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech-language services to students in accordance with ASHA principals and District policy
    2. Carefully observe and report changes that may require modification of the treatment plan
    3. Maintain student confidentiality and ethical standards of conduct
    4. Assist students with learning aids or other communication devices
    5. Demonstrate flexibility in meeting the needs of the students, department and the District.
    6. This job description is not intended to be all inclusive, and employees will also perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by supervisior(s)


    Schedule: 186 days (follows the school year calendar) 7 hours per day
    Pay:  Commensurate with experience
