Position Overview
 GTI Energy is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor – Industrial Paint & Coatings to lead industrial painting, surface preparation, and coating operations. This role supervises painters and coating technicians while ensuring coating quality, durability, and compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise industrial painting and coating operations
  • Lead painters and surface preparation personnel
  • Ensure proper surface prep including cleaning, blasting, and masking
  • Enforce compliance with product data sheets and coating specifications
  • Oversee mixing and application of primers, epoxies, and topcoats
  • Verify coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality
  • Maintain spray booths, airless and conventional spray equipment
  • Track coating materials, consumables, and inventory
  • Enforce safety protocols related to coatings, chemicals, and PPE
  • Support inspection, documentation, and quality records
  • Drive reduction of rework, defects, and coating failures

Required Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience supervising industrial or OEM painting operations
  • Strong experience with airless and conventional spray systems
  • Knowledge of surface preparation and coating application processes
  • Ability to interpret product data sheets and coating specifications
  • Experience managing painters in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with two-component coatings, epoxies, and industrial finishes
  • Knowledge of coating thickness measurement and documentation
  • Experience supporting defense or industrial coating standards
