Allure of Mendota is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team! This role supports the Activities Director in delivering engaging programs that promote the physical, social, and emotional well-being of our residents.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Basic computer skills
Major Duties & Responsibilities
The Activities Assistant will:
Assist the Activities Director with developing and posting a monthly activities calendar (large print) in common areas and resident rooms
Coordinate and assist residents with transportation to and from activities
Help conduct group and one-on-one activities that promote physical, social, and mental wellness
Provide in-room activity programs for residents requiring individualized engagement
Document resident participation and responses in a timely, accurate, and descriptive manner
Observe and report changes in resident mood, behavior, or participation
Encourage resident and family involvement in activity planning
Coordinate off-site outings as assigned
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations
Assist with administrative tasks, reports, and supply organization
Compliance & Safety Responsibilities
Treat all residents with dignity and respect while promoting resident rights
Follow all facility policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations
Maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI)
Report concerns related to abuse, neglect, misappropriation, or safety issues
Follow infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures
Participate in life safety drills and emergency response activities
Complete all required education, training, and competency evaluations

Ability to move throughout the facility during the workday
Ability to bend, lift, stoop, kneel, and assist residents as needed
Ability to assist during emergency evacuations
May be exposed to infectious diseases, environmental hazards, and emotionally challenging situations
