Job Type: Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Starting Pay: $32 Hour and up Based on Experience
Travel & night work may be required. MUST be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion.
Hydrovac Operator Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in preparation, installation, and post installation duties for operator
- Maintain a clean and secure truck
- Prepare job sites by setting up safety to prevent potential hazards
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other operators
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute excavation projects efficiently
- Adhere to all FDOT rules and regulation
- In this role, you'll use high-pressure water and vacuum systems to dig precisely and efficiently, uncover utilities, and contribute to various construction projects
- Operate Vac truck in a safe and efficient manner
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Class A or Class B CDL
- Experience driving a manual transmission
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thoroughly follow instructions
- Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Tanker endorsement
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform multiple tasks and can handle the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, digging using a shovel, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs.
