Job Type: Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Starting Pay: $32 Hour and up Based on Experience
Travel & night work may be required. MUST be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion.
 
Hydrovac Operator Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist in preparation, installation, and post installation duties for operator
  • Maintain a clean and secure truck
  • Prepare job sites by setting up safety to prevent potential hazards
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other operators
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute excavation projects efficiently
  • Adhere to all FDOT rules and regulation
  • In this role, you'll use high-pressure water and vacuum systems to dig precisely and efficiently, uncover utilities, and contribute to various construction projects
  • Operate Vac truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • Class A or Class B CDL
  • Experience driving a manual transmission
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thoroughly follow instructions
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Tanker endorsement

     
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform multiple tasks and can handle the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, digging using a shovel, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs.
