At Home Care Agency provides excellent home care to clients across all the Delaware counties (Kent County, New
Castle County and Sussex County)

We are hiring a dependable, patient and detail-oriented individual to work for our growing company as part of the clients’ Health Care Team as the Certified Nursing Assistant. This individual is diligent with their work with high care standards, enjoys working in a one-on-one setting, and is motivated to continuously learn new skills. The
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will be responsible for monitoring the client's vitals, tracking client condition, assisting clients in daily living tasks, monitoring clients' health and safety, and reporting to nurses and doctors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow the plan of care for the client to provide safe, competent care based on their needs
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing and dressing, preparing and serving meals, feeding client as necessary, ambulating, turning, positioning clients, providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
Perform housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
Administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; and applying restraints
Provide medication reminders, check vital signs, weight and recording intake and output information
Encourage client to become as independent as possible according to the nursing care plan
Attempt to promote client’s mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest
Provide emotional and psychological support to the client and other members of the household
Establish a relationship with the client and family to develop trust and confidentiality
Report observations of the client to nursing supervisor along with any changes to clients mental, physical or in-home condition
Document activities of the day by completing forms, reports, logs, and records within the system
Work with personnel of other community agencies involved in the client’s care as directed by the Nurse
Confirm the scheduling of visits weekly so other necessary visits by staff members can be coordinated
Respect client’s rights and protect organizations value by operating with ethics and maintain client confidentiality of care
Attend 12 hours of staff development activities and training annually
