McGeorge Contracting will recruit and employ Summer Interns for the purpose of orientation to the Bauxite Shop operations, peak season operational support, and in the anticipation of potential transition to full time employment as positions become available. Interns will be able to learn basic mechanic skills and work alongside skilled heavy equipment mechanics.

Job Description

• Shadow shop diesel mechanics and field mechanics.
• Assist in maintenance and repairs of heavy construction equipment.
• May be asked to run parts, maintain facilities and assist the shop in any areas needed during peak work season.

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able and willing to walk, stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor including lifting items at least as heavy as 50 pounds;
• Must have the ability and be willing to work outside in extreme weather conditions
• Must have transportation to and from job site in Bauxite, Arkansas.
