Job Description

Financial Advisor

We believe financial guidance should feel personal, empowering, and rooted in trust. Our mission is simple: help our members build a life worth loving, and as a Financial Advisor, you’ll play a direct and meaningful role in that mission every day.

If you love connecting with people, enjoy solving financial puzzles, and want to use your expertise to truly make a difference, this is a place where your work will truly matter!

What You'll Do

You’ll serve as a trusted partner, helping members understand where they are today and where they want to go tomorrow. In this role, you will:

  • Meet with members to understand their full financial picture — assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance, tax considerations, and long-term goals.
  • Analyze financial information and develop personalized financial plans using asset‑allocation and planning software.
  • Provide clear, pressure‑free guidance on investments, cash flow strategies, and tax implications.
  • Identify member needs and recommend Credit Union products and services that support their goals.
  • Build lasting relationships through proactive outreach — at least two annual contacts per member and annual reviews for those with $25k+ invested.
  • Prepare and process the documentation needed to bring members’ plans to life.
  • Partner closely with internal Credit Union staff, providing education and support to encourage meaningful referrals.
  • Deliver educational seminars to help members build financial confidence while generating new business.
  • Connect members with trusted vendors or partners for services aligned with their financial plan.
  • Stay current through industry seminars, continuing education, and required licensing.
  • Perform other duties that support an exceptional member experience and a strong financial services program.

What You'll Bring

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of five years related experience, CFP designation preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hold Series 6 & 63 securities licenses, with desire to obtain Series 7 and Series 66 licenses within one year of employment
  • Hold Life and Health Insurance Licenses
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • You’ll make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families.
  • You’ll work in a supportive, values‑driven culture focused on trust, integrity, and service.
  • Your role is member-first, always.
  • You’ll join a team committed to your growth, offering ongoing training, and providing opportunities to expand your professional development.
