We’re looking for experienced Service Supervisor to join our team in Brisbane to support, manage and lead on of our Brisbane Service Departments. This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role.

What you’ll be doing:  

As a Service Supervisor at Hastings Deering, you will:  

  • Safety‑focused leader – ensure full compliance with WH&S legislation and company policies at all times and meet/exceed safety expectations and lead direct reports to do the same.
  • Commercially astute – provide accurate input and subject‑matter expertise into customer estimates when required.
  • Solutions driven – support the resolution of work order inefficiencies to achieve the best outcome for all stakeholders.
  • Operational planning expert – determine labour and equipment needs, develop efficient processes and ensure work is completed safely and correctly.
  • Project contributor – actively support and contribute to operational projects as required.
  • Excellence driven – embrace constructive challenge and continuously strive for operational improvement.
  • Clear communicator – ensure workshop leaders and teams are informed of requirements, component/machine arrivals and delivery dates.
  • Customer focused – ensure accurate work order estimates are prepared, assigned and delivered to customers.
  • Financially disciplined – oversee accurate labour and financial targets within SPI that reflect customer scope.
  • Quality and efficiency champion – monitor all work orders to ensure high standards of execution and productivity.
  • Respectful communicator – deliver vital information in a positive, clear and professional manner.

What you’ll need:  

A successful teammate will have experience in:   

  • Qualified and experienced – Demonstrated experience leading a service team in a Heavy Machinery environment 
  • Industry knowledge – proven experience in frontline service within heavy mining and construction industries. 
  • Systems capability – confident with computing, including Microsoft AX and Power BI. 
  • Product knowledge – in-depth understanding of Caterpillar machinery, products and services. 
  • Safety focused – committed to maintaining the highest standards of workplace health and safety. 
  • Customer-oriented communicator – highly developed verbal and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service. 
  • Thrives under pressure – able to perform in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver on expectations.
