Take Flight Dyslexia Therapist (CALT)

Ore City ISD is seeking a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) to provide intensive dyslexia intervention using the Take Flight curriculum developed by the Scottish Rite for Children. This position suppports students across campuses and plays a key role in strengthening literacy outcomes within our MTSS framework in alignment with guidance from the Texas Education Agency.

 

• Primary Responsibilities


• Provide small-group, strutured literacy intervention using Take Flight with fidelity


• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation


• Participate in ARD, 504, and MTSS meetings


• Support early identification and data-driven decision making


• Collaborate with teahers to reinforce strutred literacy practices


• Communicate student progress with families

Qualifications:

• Master's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate


• Current CA:T certfication through the Academic Language Therapy Association


• Completed Take Flight training


• Knowledge of dyslexia, structured literacy, and MTSS processes
