Broken Arrow Campus Additional Information: Show/Hide - 3-5 years’ experience working as a Automotive Refinishing Technician in an automotive repair facility.
- ASE Auto Refinishing Certification is preferred.
- Knowledgeable regarding general shop safety, proper personal safety equipment and related specialty tools.
- Provide hands-on instruction in a lab setting for adult students in both non-structural and structural analysis and damage repair.
- Monitor and provide instruction in a safe working environment; compliant with federal, state and local regulations.
- Available to teach at least two evenings a week as scheduled throughout the spring, summer, and fall terms.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
- Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
- Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
- Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
- Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. – prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech’s ACD program.
- Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
- Perform all duties as assigned by management from time to time.
