POSITION SUMMARY

The Mechanical Designer designs and optimizes mechanical components and assemblies, delivering precise 3D models and manufacturing‑ready drawings using CAD software.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create CAD configuration models 
• Ensure accuracy of CAD configuration models 
• Transfer CAD BOMs to EPR system
• To work with Project teams in Product Development
• Creation of model configurations assemblies. Possible manufacture drawings

ATTRIBUTES

• In-depth knowledge of CAD standards and CAD process’s
• In-depth understanding of Engineering and modeling practices 
• Understanding of Development processes within the LSI Engineering department 
• Ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects at a time
• Knowledge of the ERP system and how it will affect Engineering documentation
• Develop an understanding and knowledge of historical categories and thought process

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in design/engineering and/or 3-7 years’ experience in an Engineering environment
• 2-3 years’ experience in drafting and/or modeling environment
• Knowledge in Configuration Managment practices

The target hourly range is $30.00 - $37.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.

In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit-sharing opportunity.
