JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Sales Engineer who will be a subject matter expert and will provide strategic guidance and execute sales initiatives for all of the Doble Solutions Portfolio. This role will provide comprehensive technical support and be a pro-active resource for our customers. This position will report to the Regional Sales Director (RSD).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assists the Doble senior management in the creation and execution of the strategy to launch new product offerings.
  • Works with the RSD, and Sales Channel Partners to develop the strategic direction for accounts and opportunities within the sales pipeline.
  • Assumes the lead role in the technical sales process for all of the Doble Solutions
  • Identifies and assists with the development of growth opportunities for all accounts within the
  • Expands the market by identifying and reaching out to new potential customers and market segments; identifies new revenue streams (new accounts).
  • Provides consistent and on-going support to the sales
  • Supports market intelligence on the competitors and
  • Provides and performs pre-sales equipment technical demos on all Doble products and services for
  • Provides and/or arranges hands-on training for customers on the use of related Doble equipment and
  • Ensures that the Regional Sales team and Channel Partners have the proper technical training so they can demo Doble equipment.
  • Reviews technical specifications for Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI).
  • Provides application expertise in the sales
  • Actively participates in pre-sales activities to ensure the technical aspects of the products and services are demonstrated and communicated.
  • Delivers remote support on the use of Doble products and resolving technical issues via email, telephone, and web or coordinates support with the Doble Subject Matter Experts (SME) and the
  • Attends and actively participates in trade shows and seminars to identify and meet key industry
  • Interfaces with internal resources such as Engineering, Solutions and
  • Gathers feedback from clients on existing products and for future product enhancement and
  • Suggests potential application of Doble products and offers technical solutions to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Suggests new features and technical requirements for existing and new
  • Gathers appropriate information to create monthly sales forecast to the RSM/GM utilizing
  • Proactively provides communication with the Regional Sales Director and/or National Sales Director, to ensure visibility to opportunity pipeline, pricing, resources, sales support, and competitive
  • Conducts post-sales follow-up with key decision makers and
  • Updates Salesforce on opportunities, and on-going
  • Manages schedule, priorities, travel, and manages company
  • Provides timely and meaningful trip reports; controls expenses to meet budget
  • Ensures that business transactions remain in compliance of the legal requirements of laws and policies such as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Sarbanes–Oxley Act, UK Anti-Bribery Act of 2010, polices of the US Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC"), US sanctions policies and localized trade laws and/or policies.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Electrical Engineering or similar technical
  • Equivalent experience to a four-year degree can be

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of technical experience in the field of electric power
  • A thorough knowledge of at least one area of testing practices such as transformers, protection, rotating apparatus.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Doble Solutions or
  • Technical knowledge of Doble’s products and services, including related
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical experience with testing
  • Technical training background such as training field people or new
  • A professional demeanour and proactive

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):

  • Familiarity with Doble products is
  • Profeciency in verbal and written local language skills within the territory such as Portugese, Spanish, Arabic, French, Spanish, and German will be helpful.
