Findlay City Schools is seeking a dynamic and student-centered High School Math Teacher to inspire and challenge students in grades 9–12. Under the leadership of the building principal, you will help students develop strong mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and confidence that prepare them for college, careers, and life beyond high school.

Essential Functions
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in high school mathematics courses (e.g., Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, or other assigned courses).
- Implement district-approved curriculum aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards.
- Promote conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and real-world application of mathematical concepts.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with disabilities, English learners, and advanced students.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction to maximize student growth.
- Integrate instructional technology, graphing tools, and digital platforms to enhance learning.
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and academic integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student progress.
- Communicate regularly with students and families regarding academic performance and goals.
- Collaborate with department members, intervention specialists, and support staff to improve student achievement.
- Participate in professional development, department meetings, and school initiatives.
- Support and enforce school and district policies and procedures.
Additional Duties
- Serve as an advisor, club sponsor, or extracurricular mentor as assigned.
- Provide academic support through tutoring, intervention periods, or extended learning opportunities.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the principal or district administration.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.

- Strong knowledge of secondary mathematics content and best instructional practices.
- Ability to use data to inform instruction and drive continuous improvement.
- Skill in differentiated instruction and effective classroom management.
- Proficiency with instructional technology, learning management systems, and digital math tools.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for high school mathematics (Grades 7–12 or equivalent).
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Credentials to teach College Credit Plus or advanced coursework preferred.
- Prior high school teaching experience preferred.
