Duties and Responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results
People:
- Create a positive team experience.
- Maintains a schedule of testing across multiple software applications to ensure prompt feedback to developers.
- Provides feedback to Business Analysts to ensure that requirements are clear and specific enough to convey the needs of the business.
Client:
- Proactive work status update US / India liaison.
Value:
- Develops, executes, and maintains test plans.
- Effectively creates and executes the test cases manually or using automation tools like selenium or Katalon.
- Reads and translates requirements into meaningful testing plans.
- Executes test plans and provides meaningful feedback on results.
- Works with Application developers to resolve issues and document bugs.
- Works with Microsoft Team Foundation Server to document test plans and document issues in the appropriate manner.
- Develops and maintains documentation for all testing activities either in spread sheets or in DevOps.
- Assumes responsibility for the quality and compliance with standards and requirements for all Ryan applications.
- Alerts Developers to potential issues in a constant feedback loop.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
- Test set creation and smoke/regression testing of the applications during the application release.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 6-10 years of hands-on administration experience with Software Quality Assurance and issue documentation.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Selenium or Katalon.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Forecasting, Revenue, Invoice, or Bonus would be an added advantage.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong analytical
- skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and excellent customer service skills and attitude.
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps and Visual Studio Test Professional.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Occasional long periods of standing while copying.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients, in person, via email, and telephone.
