Salary: $33,400-$36,072 (or per the 2025-2026 Salary Schedule)

JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of grounds keeping equipment and materials. Knowledge of safety procedures for equipment use. Knowledge of proper use of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Ability to read, understand, and carryout written and oral directions. Ability to work well with others. Ability to operate heavy equipment.

Landscape Specialist
JOB GOAL
To assist the District in providing safe and attractive grounds at schools, athletic fields and District sites.
SUPERVISES:
N/A
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Delivery
* (1) Collect trash and debris from grounds.
* (2) Exercise proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment used in grounds maintenance work.
* (3) Mow grass, trim shrubs, plant shrubs, and landscape.
* (4) Apply needed herbicides and/or pesticides in accordance with prescribed procedures.
* (5) Assist with ditching and drainage problems.
* (6) Assist with equipment repairs as required.
* (7) Operate various machines and equipment necessary for grounds keeping.

*(23) Prepare all required reports and maintain all appropriate records.
(24) Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
(32) Shall assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan.
Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the District.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
