Schedule:                  Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday - 7:30am – 6:00pm.

 

Summary of Major Functions:   

Provide and maintain structure for Residential, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs. Services include conducting groups, facilitating meals and meal processing documentation, and encouraging a therapeutic milieu. 

 

Knowledge: 

Must have a basic understanding of the therapeutic process that patients experience during program hours, understand confidentiality laws, and have a strong knowledge of professional ethics. Must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and be able to work with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds. Must demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, independent thinking, enthusiasm, and non-judgmental attitude. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Assisting Program Director in finding program tech/therapist coverage for groups and meals. 
  2. Provide individual therapy and POD groups when backup coverage is needed for Primary Clinicians. 
  3. Create effective relationships and be the liaison with other departments in creating and improving work processes. 
  4. Role models appropriate compliance to all program tech/therapist tasks and adherence to policy and procedures. 
  5. Establishes and maintains presence and a collaborative relationship with all program tech/therapists. 
  6. Supports clinical leadership in the implementation of and adherence to rules, policies, and procedures.  
  7. Takes ownership, in collaboration with program director, for training of new program tech/therapist staff and students. 
  8. Serve as onsite leadership on the weekends and act as point person for all facility issues/concerns, patient issues/concerns, and staff issues/concerns.  
  9. Navigate any call outs that occur and help to manage staffing issues/concerns. 
  10. Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of effective counseling skills. 
  11. Facilitates meals with patients in a fashion consistent with the treatment philosophy of EDCare; models appropriate eating behaviors during assigned mealtimes with patients. 
  12. Contributes clinical information and observations about patients in weekly staffing. 
  13. Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport while maintain professional boundaries. 
  14. Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process. 
  15. Maintains and develops group curriculum for psychoeducational groups according to EDCare clinical standards. 
  16. Is creative in therapeutic interventions to maintain a safe, supportive, clinically sound programming. 
  17. Is present and available for patient requests and needs; provides outreach to patients when necessary.
  18. Maintain daily program structure. 
  19. Conduct check-ins and check-outs with patients. 
  20. Facilitate therapeutic outings. 
  21. Timely completion and accuracy of clinical paperwork: progress notes, group notes, etc. 
  22. Ensure completion of daily attendance sheet for billing purposes. 
  23. Take responsibility for opening and/or closing the facility. 
  24. Maintain confidentiality of all patients. 
  25. Other job duties as assigned.
