    In accordance with the provisions of Article XIV-B of the contract between the Flemington-Raritan Education Association and the Flemington-Raritan Board of Education, the following position is available:

    Position:  
    Preschool Relief Teacher

    School Year: 
    2026 - 2027

    Effective Dates: 
    9/1/2026-6/30/2027(tenure track position)

    Qualifications:  
    New Jersey Preschool through Grade 3(1013) or N-8(1000) Certification Required

    Ability to maintain a learning environment inclusive of learners of all abilities 
    Demonstrated knowledge of effective early childhood and inclusion teaching practices

     

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    Provides Preparation Time and Lunch Coverage to Preschool Teachers daily.

    Creates an environment of respect and rapport.

    Carries out tasks assigned by professional staff effectively.

    Guides children in working and playing with other children.

    Assists with the supervision of children during regular play periods.

    Escorts and assists the children as necessary.

    Tends to physical needs of students which may include toileting, dressing, feeding, lifting, placing students on equipment and other tasks as needed. 

    Salary:
    Salary range: $64,580 to $95,535, in accordance with the established FREA Salary Guide. Placement on the guide will be determined based on the provisions outlined in Article 12, Section A.1 (Initial Employment) of the FREA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary will be prorated based on FTE and for partial-year assignments.

    Benefits:
    Eligibility for benefits is based on length of service and full-time employment status. In accordance with the FREA Collective Bargaining Agreement, full-time staff are eligible for medical, prescription, and dental coverage. Paid time off includes sick, personal, and bereavement days.
