What you’ll do:

 

The Low Voltage Electrical CAD Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and implementing low voltage electrical distribution systems, with a focus around systems engineering, automation and applications across a variety of projects, working in design software and engineering tools to provide optimized and de-risked proposals:    

  • Design and develop low voltage electrical systems and components for automation projects.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
  • Select appropriate electrical components and materials for system design.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during the development and testing phases.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design activities
  • Liaise and support with multiple internal stakeholders inclusive of product line management and front end solutions architects 

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent 
  • An understanding and experience within designing LV systems

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in designing in: 
    • Autocad
    • Revit
    • E-Plan 
    • Etap 
  • Data centre project experience is a big advantage 
  • Familiar with IEC Standards and regulations 
  • Excellent problem solving skills 
  • Fluent speaking and writing in English
  • Good communicator and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and takes ownership on results
  • Works well within a fast-paced environment
