Rheumatology Physician

Rural Community Hospital 

We are seeking a dedicated Rheumatology Physician to join our team at Nevada Regional Medical Center, a rural, community-focused hospital serving a population of approximately 20,000. This position offers the opportunity to establish and grow rheumatology services while improving access to specialty care for patients who currently travel significant distances for treatment.

 

About the Practice

  • Outpatient-focused rheumatology practice
  • Opportunity to build and develop a new specialty service line
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatologic conditions, including:
    • Rheumatoid arthritis
    • Osteoarthritis
    • Lupus and autoimmune disorders
    • Psoriatic arthritis
    • Gout and metabolic joint disease
    • Connective tissue disorders
  • Strong referral base from established primary care providers
  • Flexible clinic scheduling

 

Hospital & Community

  • 71-bed rural hospital
  • Established primary care and specialty referral network
  • Patients currently travel over 60 miles for rheumatology services
  • Opportunity to significantly improve local access to specialty care
  • Ideal setting for physicians seeking autonomy and long-term patient relationships

 

Clinical Support & Resources

  • On-site laboratory and imaging services
  • Infusion services available (or opportunity to develop infusion program)
  • Collaborative medical staff and care coordination support
  • Strong transfer relationships with tertiary care centers
  • Administrative support for program growth

 

Qualifications

  • MD or DO, eligible for Missouri medical licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Eligible for hospital medical staff privileges
  • Interest in rural medicine and program development preferred
