    ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITION OPENING  

    The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year for the following position:
     
    TEACHER OF THE HANDICAPPED/TEACHER OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES (ANTICIPATED)
    (10 Months � Certificated)
    Washington @ Hanover

    Qualifications:

    1. New Jersey DOE Certificate required -Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
    2. New Jersey DOE Certificate required - Elementary (CE/CEAS or standard).
    3. Experience working with individuals with Autism utilizing ABA - preferred.
    4. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting.  Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance.
    5. Willing and able to complete Crisis Management training.
    6. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date to hire.


    Compensation Rate/Range: $73,690 - $111,682
