Job Description

Nurse Manager – Emergency Department

Our Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department will:
• Responsible for 24/7 operations of the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit.
• Manage, lead, and support the staff members of the unit, promoting safe nursing practice and intervening as needed.
• Maintain operational aspects of the unit including participating in budget preparation, monitoring resources.
• Collaborate with human resources to hire and evaluate staff and resolve issues.
• Attend management meetings and participate on departmental committees.
• Serve as a clinical and technical resource and role model for staff, applying knowledge to daily practice.

 

What you'll bring:
• Passion for Emergency Room Nursing
• 5+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Emergency Department
• 2+ years of progressive nurse leadership experience in an Emergency Department
• Clinical expertise in Emergency Nursing, both adult and pediatric, computer skills in Microsoft suite, excellent communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory agencies and best practices.
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required, Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required. CEN preferred and required within 6 months of hire. NEA required within one year of hire.


USD $135,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
