Industrial Electrician / Controls Technician (CNC & PLC)

Pekin, IL
$35–$45/hr + Overtime
Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Be the Go-To Expert for Critical Equipment

If you’re the one people call when a machine goes down—and you can track the issue, fix it, and get production moving again—this role is built for you.

You’ll be working hands-on with CNC machines, PLC systems, and industrial electrical equipment, solving real problems that keep operations running.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems (up to 480V, 3-phase)
  • Diagnose and fix PLC issues (Allen-Bradley primarily)
  • Work on CNC machines and machine tool systems
  • Repair motors, VFDs, control panels, and components
  • Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
  • Support equipment installs, upgrades, and improvements
  • Respond to breakdowns and get machines back online quickly

Requirements

What You Need

  • 3–5+ years of industrial electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with 480V systems
  • Experience reading schematics and prints
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments

Bonus If You Have:

  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley or similar)
  • CNC or machine tool experience
  • Journeyman license or electrical training/apprenticeship

Work Environment

  • Hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Fast-paced troubleshooting and repair work
  • Active role with minimal downtime
