JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide assistance to students at specified crosswalks, promoting safe pedestrian traffic procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Interest in children, their education, and their safety.  Good physical condition, including adequate vision and hearing necessary to fulfill performance responsibilities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Complete district in-service training program before assuming responsibility for the crosswalk.


• Establish and maintain good student conduct at the crosswalk.


• Assure that students walk in the crosswalk.


• Be on duty at the designated times to promote timely routines for students.


• Report unsafe student behavior in or near the crosswalk to the principal.


• Set up crossing signs as needed.


• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

SALARY:  Part-time nine-month position, beginning salary Level 24, employee benefits in accordance with Board Policies.

EVALUATION:  Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
