About the department / center: University of Delaware Ice Arena`s are located on South Campus at 547 South College Ave in between the Field House and UD Creamery. We are committed to servicing our teams and programs with quality ice and premier facilities. We operate roughly 18 hours a day and host figure skating and hockey programs both within the community and through the school itself.


Role Description:


The department of Ice Arena - Athletics is looking for undergraduate students to employ in a Building Supervisor role. Main responsibilities include the following:



  • Maintaining quality ice surfaces – Operating the Zamboni, edging and chipping around the boards, measuring and documenting ice depths, knowledge of ice rink equipment and machines, etc. (Paid Training is offered)

  • Customer Service – Assisting with questions from guests, requests from coaches and skating teams.

  • Game Day Operations – Assisting with any number of our programs on a game day, On-ice prep before, during, and after games, ushering guests to seats, etc.


Hiring Timeline:


This is an ongoing, or evergreen, position that requires continuous hiring throughout the year to backfill vacancies or bring on additional support as needed.
