- Modeling and coaching of job-related tasks on work sites. Depending on the work site, this could include physical labor, such as grounds maintenance (i.e., raking, picking up trash, etc.), washing hair, filing, and other office work, carrying food trays, stacking materials on shelves, etc. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but should serve as an example.
- Documenting students' work through data collection and paperwork. Documenting daily data for the student's goals and all other forms of documentation as requested and needed.
- Ensuring the safety of all students assigned to the Job Coach while traveling to and at the work site.
- Supporting engagement in the learning process at community-based job sites, college, certificate programs, and life skills settings.
- Assuming responsibility for the implementation of Individualized Education Plans and Transition Plan goals, strategies, and reporting requirements.
- Communicating with job site supervisors to understand the requirements of the job and work environment.
- Assisting the student in developing their soft skills, technical skills, and social skills on community-based sites.
- Modeling and teaching proper workplace behaviors in interactions with the employer/community.
- Actively providing a positive and helpful demeanor with coworkers and students.
- Any other duties related to this position as assigned by immediate supervisors and/or administrative supervisors.

Transition Program Job Coach
This position is based out of Winchester Public Schools; however, the majority of the work will be performed in community work sites as delineated by the student's IEP.
