Role Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver complex, multi-track projects/programs: Lead the technical delivery of engineering projects in Banking Clients from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time with high quality standards. Structure, manage, and provide technical guidance to teams of 70+ through all development phases (Agile preferred), owning program delivery, including estimations, staffing, scope management, quality standards, risk assessment, and revenue/margin management. Manage a portfolio of technology, retail lending, Credit Card, Regulatory compliance initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, engineering and test leads to drive delivery.
Cultivate high-performing teams: Provide purpose, direction, and motivation, mentoring and coaching teams to achieve exceptional client outcomes. Foster a customer-centric culture, deepen stakeholder relationships, and leverage organizational resources. Drive employee empowerment and engagement.
Master stakeholder management: Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction. Effectively communicate project status, risks, and options, facilitating timely decisions. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives. Collaborate with business SMEs and technology teams to create platform roadmaps aligned with business strategies.
Drive innovation and strategic planning: Understand and stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Develop roadmaps, build business cases (including cost-benefit analysis), and define/execute strategies to minimize technical debt and modernize technology platforms. Provide guidance on prioritization based on business value.
Ensure technical excellence: Oversee the architecture and design of enterprise solutions in a distributed environment. Engage with engineering and design teams to determine optimal implementation methods and schedules. Drive a vision for best-in-class Banking Technology solutions, inspiring solution architects and engineers.
Deliver impactful results: Manage communications and reporting, including project release content and customer journey. Deliver global, innovative solutions that enhance Banking management client delivery. Collaborate across business functions to ensure Banking Technology meets business needs. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing diverse projects from simple to complex. Maintain awareness of financial services markets, competitive landscape, and digital transformation trends in Banking.
Technical Skills
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in delivery of large-scale and complex mission-critical solutions for Banking Clients
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Technical Expertise:
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in technical delivery management, with a strong focus on banking clients.
- Deep understanding of full-stack development, including Java, Python, React, and cloud technologies.
- Proven track record in delivering complex, mission-critical solutions for large-scale banking applications.
- Strong knowledge of IT software development methodologies, especially Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Experience with data and analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns and design principles
- Leadership and Management:
- Experience leading and mentoring high-performing teams of 50-100+ members.
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
