POSITION SUMMARY:

Position assists in leading, coaching, and motivating their department in the achievement of production requirements as they relate to improvements, lead-time, and daily goals.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Essential Responsibilities/Duties

    • Assist in day-to-day team operations ensuring effective communication
    • Implement daily production schedule
    • Participates in production meetings communicating daily goals/objectives/priorities to the team
    • Facilitates team problem solving and decision making as it relates to production’s daily objectives
    • Assists direct reports in the implementation and administration of policies and procedures
    • Troubleshoot production problems with team members
    • Responsible for start-up and shut down of the operation
    • Inspect equipment for cleanliness before new product start-ups
    • Communicates discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor
    • Coordinates with other departments ensuring undisrupted flow of operation
    • Maintains clean equipment before, during, and after production
    • Confers with plant manager and other departments for emergency orders
    • Observe employees on a regular basis to ensure that safe work practices are being followed and documented
    • Ensure that workers are provided with and properly use protective equipment
    • Responsible for the coordination and training of new staff members
    • Responsible for specific applications as related to the assigned department
    • Ensures all safety and environmental policies/procedures are consistently demonstrated
    • Responsible for ensuring hazardous waste containers are properly labeled, covered, and staged (Liquid)
    • Responsible for ensuring satellite and accumulation area accumulation time limits and volume limits are not exceeded (Liquid)

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to pass a basic math test.

  • Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO concepts

SALARY RANGE:

$20.12-$29.80. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
