Job Summary
Position
serves as classroom therapy assistant for approximately 37-40 hours per week to
a nationally-certified speech-language pathologist who provides direct
intervention to children with severe communication disorders and academic
challenges through the DuBard School for Language Disorders
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
of students with significant communication disorders and academic challenges under
the direction and guidance of the classroom speech-language pathologist.
Individualized Education Programs (IEP) for the students and monitor their progress toward IEP
goals.
students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate
in activities.
pathologists with maintaining student records, including progress monitoring
and data collection, and preparing instructional materials.
emotional or behavior concerns and assist them in developing appropriate social
skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of college study (60
semester hours) is required. A minimum of one year of experience working with
children in an educational setting is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Associates degree from an accredited
college or university or higher.
