Lakes Region EMS is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service with a mixed rural and urban service area just northeast of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. We proudly serve from bases located in Rush City, North Branch, and Lindstrom, Minnesota, as well as St. Croix Falls and Milltown, Wisconsin. We take great pride in delivering high-quality care to our communities. Our ambulances are staffed with highly trained Paramedics and EMTs equipped to provide emergency treatment for traumatic injuries and sudden illnesses. 

 

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team. As a casual EMT, you will play a crucial role in providing prehospital emergency medical care in a variety of settings, including accidents, medical emergencies, and interfacility transfers.

 

Responsibilites

Key responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering basic medical care, and safely transporting patients to medical facilities. The role requires quick thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in dynamic and often challenging circumstances. Individuals who are successful at Lakes Region EMS encompass

Requirements

  • Current EMT certifications: NREMT, MN, and WI
    • Not required to apply, but required before starting. Offers are contingent upon obtaining these certifications.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment screening, including drug test, health assessment- including health history, physical, and lifting evaluation, background check- including MedEx Complete, and motor vehicle record check.
