Job Description

Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:

 

Design, develop, modify, or evaluate electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, or systems related to Microsoft technologies. Research, design, develop, test, or monitor the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems that support Microsoft technologies. Develop test plans in the preparation and execution of design testing or prototype fabrication. Analyze designs and devices to establish operating parameters, conduct experimental tests through both simulation and physical evaluation, and perform analyses on data generated from test results to verify and validate whether operating parameters are met. Identify root causes for technical issues, flaws, and design challenges, and develop and implement solutions. May select device materials and components based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May generate documentation related to designs, including development status, technical specifications, functionality, materials, compatibility with other devices, and testing procedures.
 
Education: Master’s or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
 
Experience: 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
 
Requires 12 months of experience in each of the following: Data center electrical infrastructure management; Support commissioning to test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems; Data center design and functionality; Engineering laboratories and electrical system maintenance; Data center operations support; Review design specifications, drawings, white papers, wiring schematics and diagrams, and reports; Develop Sustainability solutions; Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for appropriate electrical equipment; and Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.

The offered base pay range for this specific position (ODP10025239270418), in Leesburg, VA, is $175,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year.

 

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depend on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional reward, including merits increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employer’s role.
