Job Description

Summary:
Rolling Hills Food Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our dining facilities and ensure all equipment and systems are running smoothly. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing a variety of kitchen and facility equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring the facility is safe, clean, and operational, supporting our commitment to providing excellent service to our customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators) and facility systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all kitchen and facility equipment complies with safety standards and operates efficiently.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance work and repairs, ensuring proper documentation of any issues or repairs made.
  • Assist with inventory management for parts and supplies related to maintenance and repair work.
  • Collaborate with the dining facility team to minimize disruptions and downtime during meal preparation and service.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to prevent or minimize downtime.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Communicate with the Dining Facility Manager or Project Manager on the progress of repairs and any potential problem areas.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and standards, ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with OSHA and HACCP regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a commercial kitchen or facility environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and kitchen equipment repair.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills to log maintenance tasks and inventory.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand and move within the kitchen and facility area for 6 to 8 hours (excluding breaks).
  • Some bending, squatting, and lifting are required.
  • May lift and carry equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Rolling Hills Food Services LLC employee handbook.
  • Comply with all HACCP and OSHA standards.
  • Complete any assigned duties by the Dining Facility Manager, Project Manager, or Supervisor.
  • Duties and responsibilities may change at management’s discretion based on company needs.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be willing to participate in the company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug testing and a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) if required.
