About The Team
You’ll be joining the JD.com team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
We’re looking for a Digital Content Creator to join our International Communications & PR team in London, with a focus on creating compelling, social-first digital content for both internal and external audiences. You’ll play a key role in bringing the JD Worldwide brands, people and ambitions to life across social platforms and media channels. In 2026, we will launch Joybuy, our online retail business in the UK and Europe, and this will be supported by JoyExpres,s our delivery and logistics business.
The role
You’ll love telling stories and be hands-on from day one — coming up with ideas, filming, editing, and publishing content that feels timely, relevant, engaging and not run-of-the-mill. You’ll have a strong instinct for what works on social, stay on top of trends, and know how to translate complex business stories into clear, creative content, which is on brand.
You’ll also develop a strong understanding of JD.com and JD Worldwide’s wider ecosystem (including JD Logistics, JD Property and its European online retailer, Joybuy), ensuring our content supports broader communications and business objectives.
What you’ll be doing
Creating engaging digital content for social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok
Spotting and jumping on social trends quickly and creatively
Filming and editing high-quality video and multimedia content, often under tight deadlines
Producing interviews, event content and B-roll, and turning it around at pace
Applying out-of-the-box creative thinking to content projects and campaigns
Working with a social-first mindset, adapting larger campaign ideas into platform-native content
Managing content planning, updating the content calendar and liaising with teams across the business
Using performance data and analytics to continuously improve content output
Supporting both organic and paid social, understanding how content needs to flex across formats and objectives
What we’re looking for
A strong understanding of the social media landscape and what content works best on different platforms
A genuine interest in social trends, creators, influencers and platform updates
Confidence in filming and editing content independently
Fluency in editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva and Photoshop
Experience working in fast-paced environments with short turnaround times
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
A collaborative team player who’s also comfortable working independently across multiple departments
A good understanding of social analytics and data, and how insights can drive better creative decisions and support GEO and SEO requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience working in a similar role within a media, digital, agency or corporate environment.
Experience in working for an international organisation is preferred, and experience in or working with a corporation from Asia or China would be ideal.
