The John Scott House is looking for a dynamic full-time Assistant Director of Nursing to join our Five-Star clinical team. John Scott House, is a spacious, beautifully maintained 126- bed skilled nursing facility within a unique neighborhood setting conveniently located in Braintree, MA. Our Center is accessible by public transportation (MBTA bus line), conveniently located 5 minutes off of Route 93. John Scott House is a preferred post acute provider for major acute care hospitals in the Boston-area and numerous accountable care organizations (ACOs) and PCP groups. We provide short term rehabilitation, long term care, respite care, and memory care.

Requirements for Assistant Director of Nursing:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current, unencumbered licensure as an RN (Registered Nurse) in Massachusetts
Current CPR certification
At least two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting.
- Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care.
Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and infection control/prevention
Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.

Job Duties of Assistant Director of Nursing:

Assure appropriate utilization of resources necessary for the delivery of quality patient care
Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach
Oversee staff and assist as needed
Assists with the orientation, education, competency, and practice improvement of other nursing personnel
Surveillance of resident and staff infections monthly with attack rate and appropriateness of isolation quarterly
Act in the capacity of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence
