The John Scott House is looking for a dynamic full-time Assistant Director of Nursing to join our Five-Star clinical team. John Scott House, is a spacious, beautifully maintained 126- bed skilled nursing facility within a unique neighborhood setting conveniently located in Braintree, MA. Our Center is accessible by public transportation (MBTA bus line), conveniently located 5 minutes off of Route 93. John Scott House is a preferred post acute provider for major acute care hospitals in the Boston-area and numerous accountable care organizations (ACOs) and PCP groups. We provide short term rehabilitation, long term care, respite care, and memory care.

Requirements for Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unencumbered licensure as an RN (Registered Nurse) in Massachusetts
- Current CPR certification
- At least two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting.
- Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care.
- Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and infection control/prevention
- Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
Job Duties of Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Assure appropriate utilization of resources necessary for the delivery of quality patient care
- Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach
- Oversee staff and assist as needed
- Assists with the orientation, education, competency, and practice improvement of other nursing personnel
- Surveillance of resident and staff infections monthly with attack rate and appropriateness of isolation quarterly
- Act in the capacity of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence
