    Description: Special Education Teacher Resource (SAILS) for Farmington High School (1.0 FTE) beginning August 2026.
     Farmington is a suburban Hartford community with a strong record of educational excellence.  Farmington High School has 1400 students and 100+ faculty members.


    Qualifications: Must be eligible for State of CT certification in Special Education (065 or 265 or 165), experience working with students with social/emotional challenges preferred.

     
    General Description:
    Teachers provide effective instruction to ensure that students learn core content knowledge and skills as well as the competencies and dispositions articulated in the FPS Vision of the Global Citizen. Teachers attend to the development of the whole child and adjust instruction to meet psychological, social and intellectual needs. Working as a vital member of a learning organization, teachers develop relationships with colleagues, parents, and students and work collaboratively to ensure that all children achieve academic and personal growth. Teachers demonstrate all aspects of CT's Code of Professional Responsibility.

    Salary:  $56,018 - $114,029 (depending upon education and experience)
