You bring both the art of relationship-building and the science of sales performance. You’re fluent in the digital and analytical tools that drive modern hospitality sales, including:

  • Sales & CRM Systems: Delphi, Envision (Hyatt), Salesforce, or CI/TY — used for tracking group leads, client interactions, and pipeline progress.
  • Lead Generation & Intelligence: Cvent, Cvent Transient, and Lanyon for RFP management; LinkedIn Sales Navigator for strategic prospecting.
  • Market Analytics & Business Intelligence: TravelClick, Agency360, Demand360, and OTA Insight for monitoring production, share, and market trends.
  • Productivity & Collaboration: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams — used daily to craft proposals, build ROI models, and present to ownership.
  • Marketing & Digital Tools: Canva, Mailchimp, and Hyatt’s digital asset manager for custom collateral and email campaigns.

Job Overview:                 Plays a key role in driving revenue by securing business from travel partners and event planners as well as managing Hyatt                                                brand sales and marketing opportunities.

Reports To:                        Regional Director of Sales & Marketing

 

Essential Skills/Aptitudes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience, including 1–2 years in a management role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales systems (e.g., Delphi, CRM tools, LinkedIn, Zoom, third-party lead platforms)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
  • Strong communication skills in English; Japanese is a plus
  • Solid understanding of basic financial concepts (budgeting, P&L, percentages)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
  • Local market experience preferred

 

Essential Physical Abilities:

  • Frequently standing up or moving within and outside of the facility.
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Handling objects.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling.
  • Must be flexible to work long, sometimes irregular hours.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Drive revenue by meeting or exceeding sales goals and KPIs through proactive prospecting, lead management, and client relationship development.
  • Analyze market performance, competitor positioning, and revenue data to inform sales strategies and maximize results.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including responding to inquiries, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, site tours, events, and networking.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using multiple lead sources and innovative sales tactics to grow market share and RevPAR.
  • Coordinate group bookings by managing rates, room blocks, and event details to optimize revenue.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Catering teams to support promotions, contracts, and overall business strategy.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting in sales systems, including activity tracking and booking details.
  • Represent the hotel through presentations, trade shows, client visits, and industry events.
  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by responding to needs professionally and promptly.
  • Follow brand standards, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Contribute to budgeting, marketing plans, and team initiatives as needed.
