And yeah, sometimes our standards are pretty high. Lastly, this position will assist in the development and implementation of process improvement throughout the plant, including leveraging a new MRP/ERP system that we are expecting to be investing in this year.

The person we hire will for this role will not only have the experience of QA within manufacturing, but they can translate those experiences into results. While we are looking for someone with a lot of experience and capabilities, we still prioritize culture with all hiring. So, we also expect this person to know the difference between leadership and management.

  • Implement Control Plans within each production area.
  • Monitor product quality and reliability trends and implement initiatives for resolution.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders in the company to develop process improvements for all things quality within the division.
  • Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) efforts and take lead in quality plan creation, including the creation of the quality plan.
  • Provide ownership of the CAPA process.
  • Assist in the implementation and utilization of MRP/ERP systems throughout the division.
  • Solve puzzles

Job Requirements

  • Minimal of 5 years of experience in supervisory/management experience within manufacturing, with at least 3 years specifically in Quality.
  • Manufacturing experience includes finished goods (vs component creation), with experience in metal fabrication a huge plus.
  • Knowledgeable with ISO requirements
  • Ability to train others how to read engineering prints and utilize applicable tools to evaluate for conformity.
  • Proven track record of Continuous Improvement.
  • Must be comfortable with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) programs and capable of learning other software systems.
  • Teamwork, with a sense of humor, is preferred.
  • Eating, fried chicken preferred.

About Winston Industries

Winston is a multi-divisional global company that started by making a pressurized chicken fryer for Colonel Sanders about 50 years ago. We still specialize in the development/manufacturing of foodservice equipment for a bunch of the larger restaurant chains out there (McDs, Pizza Hut, KFC, Popeyes, etc.), but a lot has changed over the years. We expanded to other divisions, providing contract manufacturing for electronics, metal forming, and welding for other companies. Although we have continued to grow, we pride ourselves in top-down relationships with our entire workforce. The idea of being some big corporation that prioritizes profit over people just isnt our thing. Both are important, but our team is what allows us to exist.
