The Role's Mission

The mission of the Director, Mintz Group Singapore is to lead high-stakes due diligence engagements, advise clients on risk during complex transactions and disputes and contribute to the growth and evolution of Mintz Group’s practice. This role champions Mintz Group’s strategic objectives by ensuring timely, actionable, and ethically sound intelligence for clients making critical investment or partnership decisions.

Job Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other high-stakes transactions.
  • Manage client expectations and provide strategic recommendations during investigations.
  • Coordinate client outreach efforts and business development initiatives via Salesforce and other internal tools.
  • Support origination targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Provide expert-level guidance and training to staff across titles and practices.
  • Mentor and sponsor colleagues, fostering their career progression.
  • Promote collaboration and information sharing within the team.
Investigative Oversight:
  • Oversee and ensure thorough research and actionable reporting.
  • Develop and implement innovative methodologies to improve investigative processes.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards in all client-facing deliverables.

Strategic Contributions:

  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings and business strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client experiences.

This Job: The Director, Mintz Group Singapore role centers on managing cases, building strong client relationships, and driving strategic contributions within the firm. While the Director spends more time managing cases and mentoring staff than performing direct investigative work, they remain deeply involved in ensuring that findings align with client needs. This role requires adaptability, leadership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results that support Mintz Group’s mission to help clients stay on the right side of history.

Necessary Skills:

  • Expertise in directing complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations.
  • Strong ability to present investigative findings to C-suite executives and key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience guiding investigative strategy and mitigating risks.
  • Mastery of investigative methodologies, legal research, and financial intelligence.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain strategic client partnerships.
  • Experience contributing to revenue growth and business development strategies.
  • Deep understanding of investigative ethics, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in investigations, research, or related fields.
  • Significant experience managing investigative teams and client relationships.
  • Strong expertise in legal, regulatory, and financial investigations.
  • Proven track record in business development and client management.
  • Proficiency with investigative databases, including Westlaw and Nexis.
  • Multilingual preferred.
