Position: Boys Varsity Head Soccer Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend)

Salary range: $5,403 – $8,070 stipend
Time Commitment:
- Six days a week
- Twenty to twenty-five hours a week
- Three games a week
- Season Length- 8/24/2026 – 11/23/2026

SUMMARY:
The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding head coach to coach the soccer team for the 2025-2026 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence, equity, and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning all areas of the boys' soccer team.
- Leading and assisting their coaching staff in coordinating efforts under one program goal and ensuring compliance with rules at all levels.
- Analyze game strategy.
- Implementation of skill development.
- Coverage on bus trips.
- Video analysis of games.
- Statistical analysis of games.
- Attending all league meetings and local, district, and state meetings when necessary.
- Reaching out to local Youth Groups to promote their respective sports in town.
- Planning award ceremonies and individual award winners
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- CPR Certified.
- NFHS concussion course
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience coaching soccer
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
