The General Manager serves as the operational and strategic leader of our elevated resort property, upholding Mirbeau’s commitment to excellence in wellness, refinement, and world-class hospitality. Overseeing all aspects of the property— including spa & wellness, guest services & accommodations, food & beverage, events, housekeeping and facilities—the General Manager ensures seamless operations, financial success, and a guest journey that reflects Mirbeau’s highest standards of service. This is more than a management role- it’s an opportunity to shape the guest journey, inspire a dedicated team, and uphold Mirbeau’s reputation for creating exceptional experiences designed to restore and elevate.
Salary: $120,000 to $130,000, plus annual bonus potential of up to $30,000 to $50,000.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy
- Provide overall strategic leadership and clear direction across all resort departments, ensuring alignment with Mirbeau’s vision of wellness, refinement, and excellence.
- Develop and execute business plans, financial goals, and operational strategies to drive continued growth and improvement, long-term profitability and guest satisfaction
- Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of all departments—including spa & wellness, guest services & accommodations, food & beverage, events, housekeeping and facilities—ensuring operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance with Forbes and Mirbeau standards.
- Maintain the property’s elevated atmosphere by ensuring facilities, staff appearance, and guest touchpoints consistently reflect Mirbeau’s standards
- Guest Relations & Service Excellence
- Ensure a consistent, elevated guest experience that reflects Mirbeau’s commitment to wellness, refinement, and hospitality.
- Address guest complaints and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and timely resolution, while empowering staff to extend appropriate service recovery, providing support for escalated situations
- Team Development & Culture
- Mentor, coach, and motivate managers and staff to consistently achieve high performance and service standards
- Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and guest-focused service throughout the property.
- Financial & Business Management
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting (ie: P&L and KPI statements), implementing impactful strategies to drive profitability.
- Identify opportunities for business growth, partnerships, and innovations in the elevated wellness market.
- Property & Brand Integrity
- Safeguard and enhance the Mirbeau brand reputation through consistent excellence in service delivery, staff professionalism, and property presentation.
- Leadership & Strategy
Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field strongly preferred
- Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, resort or spa management, with proven success in overseeing multi-department operations
- Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance while maintaining exceptional guest service standards
- Leadership & Management Skills
- Inspirational and motivational leader with the ability to mentor, coach, and retain high-performing teams
- Maintains composure and sound judgement under pressure, resolving issues with professionalism
- Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Deep understanding of elevated service standards and the expectations of our guests with a commitment to refined guest experiences that reflect sophistication, attention to detail and personalized accommodations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to resolve guest concerns diplomatically and effectively
- Business & Financial Acumen
- Expertise in budgeting, revenue management, and financial forecasting
- Proven ability to analyze P&L and KPI reports, and develop impactful strategies in response
