The SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has openings for Special Education Paraeducators, Extended School Year at various programs across our district.

Description:
Efficiently and effectively assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning program in a special education setting while working under the supervision of a supervising teacher. Performs support work assisting students in meeting educational, communication, emotional, physical and behavioral goals of students with special needs. Paraprofessionals may be working with students on an individual basis or in small groups.
Locations, Dates & Times:
In addition to working 6/22-7/16, ESY Paras will also work 6/15-6/16 and one work day post summer programming (7/17 or 7/20).
Pay & Benefits:
The pay rate range for this position is $20.54-$24.75/hr. Current Paras will be paid their hourly rate of pay provided they are performing services described in the MSEA contract. Benefits include: PERA (Pension Plan)
Qualifications:
• Two years of study at an institution of higher education (60 college credits) OR an Associate degree (or higher) OR the successful completion of the Paraeducator training and assessments (District funded).
• Experience in working with students with significant disabilities is preferred, but not required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality and using good discretion.
