Job Summary:

 The Director of Laboratory Services provides leadership for all aspects of the Laboratory across two sites (Lebanon and Anson). This role ensures 24/7 operational oversight, continuous regulatory readiness (CLIA, Joint Commission, CAP), and uncompromising quality and patient safety, excellent service levels, and high performance culture. The Director manages multi-site operations, people, technology, and finances; partners closely with medical staff, nursing, service lines, and corporate functions; and leads strategic planning for growth, modernization, and innovation. Accountable for maintaining accreditation with The Joint Commission and compliance with CLIA-88 and other applicable standards. The Director develops leaders, builds an inclusive and high-performance culture, and delivers reliable, timely diagnostic services that enable exceptional and easy experiences for patients and providers. This role is accountable for delivering an outstanding patient and clinician experience, building a positive and engaged team culture, and fostering a collaborative, solution‑oriented environment. This leader champions change management, drives adoption of new practices, and ensures transparency, communication, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Qualifies as a General Supervisor under CLIA-88 (42 CFR 493.1461) and as a Technical Consultant (42 CFR 493.1411).

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related life science.

• At least 4 years of high-complexity testing experience.

• At least 6 years of clinical diagnostics laboratory experience within a supervisory or management role.

• Experience in a clinical laboratory training/teaching environment (minimum 1 year).

• MLS(ASCP) or equivalent credential; eligibility considered with commitment to achieve certification within an agreed timeframe.
