What you’ll be doing…
The Junior network engineer role involves management of devices, monitoring of services, customer support and working with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the management of our customer gateway, including changes management, incident resolution, following security protocols, and maintaining the gateways availability for our customers.
This role requires working 12-hour day and night shifts on a 24/7 roster. The roster is similar to a 5-days-on, 5-days-off schedule. (Eg; 2days followed by 3nights then 5 day break).
This is an exciting opportunity for entry level IT engineers, or those seasoned in networking and want the larger range of experience working in a gateway environment.
Change Management, including the preparation and implementation of Changes on a number of Gateway
Device configurations – routers, firewalls, proxy's DNS servers and load Balancers.
Incident Resolution will require you to work with our customers to troubleshoot/diagnose un-intended network traffic issues.
Monitor and action Health Alerts generated.
Performing a Service Desk type function, consisting of the allocation and prioritization of tickets based on SLA.
Managing internal and external communications.
Responding to customer requests via email/phone calls.
Information requests for customers and internal departments

You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or more years of work experience.
One or more years of work experience in IT or Networking .
One or more years of work experience in Linux, DNS, Firewalls, F5, VMware, Proxies and Email Gateway appliances.
One or more Industry certifications (Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Bluecoat, ITIL).
Active Baseline or NV1 Australian Security clearance.
Willingness to work on a 24x7 rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
Even better if you have:
A degree.
Secure Internet Gateway environments experience.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) knowledge.
Understanding various Coding and Scripting languages.
Experience in Automation.
Experience and Knowledge of Visual Studio and Code Commit.
Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI).
