Metsä Board, Europe’s leading producer of premium fresh-fibre based paperboards and innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, is looking for a

Customer Service Specialist (Middle East, Asia and Pacific) for temporary position (15 months) to join our Central and East Europe Customer Service Team in Metsä Board’s European Supply Chain Centre (SCC) in Gdańsk.

Your role in the future Metsä:

  • Act as a Customer partner for a portfolio of assigned customers/accounts, building long-term relationships and driving customer satisfaction, retention, and growth
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the customer journey (from enquiry to delivery and invoicing), ensuring seamless execution across all operational touchpoints
  • Understand and manage the full order-to-cash process, including documentation, shipping, invoicing, and issue resolution
  • Proactively identify and address risks and opportunities across the supply chain, ensuring customer commitments are met and exceeded
  • Act as a bridge between customers, sales, supply chain, and finance, ensuring alignment and smooth communication across all stakeholders
  • Understand customer orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal processes
  • Maintain and develop customer master data, profiles, and insights to support better decision-making and service delivery
  • Monitor stock levels, demand patterns, and order flows for assigned accounts, ensuring optimal availability and minimizing disruptions
  • Support commercial performance by understanding pricing, rebates, credit limits, and payment behavior in collaboration with Sales and Credit Management
  • Take ownership of resolving operational challenges while keeping a strong focus on business impact and customer value

What is required from you:

  • Advanced English language skills (both spoken and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Service- and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with ERP SD module
  • Experience in preparing and managing documentation for container deliveries to the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions
  • Familiarity with international trade and payment terms, including Letters of Credit (L/C), Sea Waybills, and related documentation processes
