Job Description

Position Summary

The Frozen Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily operations of the Frozen Foods department by ensuring product availability, enforcing food safety standards, maintaining merchandising execution, and assisting with team leadership. This role works closely with store and department leadership to drive sales, control shrink, and deliver a strong customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily department operations, including stocking, rotation, backroom organization, and presentation standards
  • Assist with supervising and training associates on proper handling of frozen products, food safety, and company procedures
  • Ensure compliance with temperature control, sanitation, and food safety regulations at all times
  • Help execute planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays according to company standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and accuracy of product counts
  • Identify and reduce shrink through proper rotation, damage control, and markdown execution
  • Maintain clean, organized freezers, sales floor cases, and receiving areas
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and special requests
  • Communicate effectively with store leadership regarding department needs, performance, and opportunities
  • Support scheduling, task delegation, and coverage to maintain efficient department operations
  • Uphold safety standards and participate in store-wide safety and loss prevention initiatives
Qualifications
  • Previous grocery, retail, or frozen/food department experience preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience a plus
  • Knowledge of food safety, temperature control, and proper product rotation practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and work in cold environments for extended periods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Transparency:


Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay*, PTO/Vacation pay*, paid holidays*, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).  Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.

 

*For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
