Design Engineer
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm
Pay Range: $65K–$80K (Based on Experience)
Full-Time, Exempt

Job Summary
The Design Engineer is responsible for designing manufacturable products that meet customer requirements while optimizing production efficiency and quality. This role supports the Engineering team by developing models and prints for customer approval, production processes, quoting, tooling, and consumables. The Design Engineer collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Tooling to lead projects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure successful product launches. Additionally, this role will cross-train in tooling design and creation to support and assist the Tooling Engineer.
Essential Functions
- Product Design: Design products based on customer requirements, sales input, and plant manufacturing capabilities.
- CAD & Print Creation: Use SolidWorks to create detailed CAD models and production-ready prints.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and collaborate with production, sales, tooling, and engineering teams.
- Tooling Collaboration: Work closely with tooling and production teams, including cross-training to support tooling design and creation.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Support Sales with DFM guidance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Project Management: Ensure timely project completion.
